Technology Consultant

Overview

Prodigy Surgical is seeking a highly competitive individual with a demonstrated history of relevant sales success to fulfill Arthrex’s mission of “Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better.” The Technology Consultant is the pinnacle of industry sales representation. This individual will educate, challenge and inspire surgeons through unmatched industry and procedural knowledge. This position is a liaison, responsible for cultivating a partnership between Arthrex, Prodigy Surgical and our clients. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Acumen

  • Represent Prodigy Surgical, an authorized agency of Arthrex, by working with a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends; including, but not limited to, surgical procedures, healthcare finance and reimbursement, and competitive products
  • Participate in training in sales skills, product features/benefits, and other critical business applications.
  • Train Associate Sales Reps
  • Manage Consignment inventory

Client Relations

  • Foster client relations through proactive anticipation of account needs.
  • Communicate with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics, including product updates and changes to product portfolio.
  • Increase territory results by building and maintaining strong business relationships, and by developing knowledge in medical education.

Sales

  • Lead the team in meeting and exceeding sales goals for the territory.
  • Collaborate with management to create and implement sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives.
  • Identify the needs of new prospects and develop appropriate responses.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products or manage new product introductions as they become available.

General

  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting non-compliance; and adhering to applicable federal, state & local laws and regulations, accreditation & licenser requirements, and company policies & procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3-5 years Medical Sales Experience (preferably Orthopaedic)
  • Current Valid Driver’s License 
  • Must be comfortable in surgery/operating room environments
  • MS Office 
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills are required. 
  • Strong sense of urgency is important.
